Velta and Fibrelay Collaborate to Bring Full-Fibre Broadband to Fontygary Leisure Park in Barry, South Wales

Velta is currently installing full-fibre broadband to over 500 static caravans at Fontygary Leisure Park on behalf of Ogi. The project, carried out in collaboration with Fibrelay, marks a significant step towards providing high-speed connectivity to holidaymakers in the region.

Velta are laying more than 5 kilometres of ducting, enabling full fibre connections to reach every corner of the leisure park. This substantial infrastructure project ensures that guests will have access to genuine Ultrafast broadband during their stay, allowing them to stay connected and entertained throughout their holidays.

The installation of full-fibre broadband at Fontygary Leisure Park highlights Velta’s dedication to delivering real social value. The project has created valuable employment opportunities for local talent, with two apprentices, a civil engineer and a quantity surveyor, getting the opportunity to enhance their skills within the region.

“We are thrilled to be bringing high-speed broadband to Fontygary Leisure Park,” said spokesperson from Velta. “Our collaboration with Fibrelay means we can quickly and efficiently install the necessary infrastructure, ensuring that guests can enjoy a seamless online experience while enjoying their holidays.”

The introduction of full-fibre broadband at Fontygary Leisure Park not only enhances the overall guest experience but also means parents can stay connected to work or family commitments, while the children can enjoy a range of online entertainment options, even when they are away from home.

This project demonstrates Velta’s continued commitment to providing cutting-edge broadband solutions. By connecting more locations to high-speed internet, Velta aims to unlock the full potential of rural and disconnected communities throughout the UK.
