We are actively looking for a skilled and experienced Pipelayer to join our dynamic team. As a Pipelayer, you will play a crucial role in the success of our projects, contributing to our core values of integrity, inclusivity, innovation, and quality.

Position Overview:
As a Pipelayer at Velta Construction, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of pipelines, ensuring they meet project specifications and quality standards. You will work collaboratively with our construction team to contribute to the successful completion of various civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.
• Install, repair, and maintain pipelines following project requirements.
• Report accidents / near misses as per Velta’s safety guidelines.
• Complete tasks as directed by the Supervisor/Ganger.
• Ensure tools / equipment are in good working order and report defects.

• Interpret and understand project plans and specifications related to pipeline installation.
• Perform excavation / trenching activities to prepare the ground for pipeline installation.
• Ensure proper alignment and positioning of pipes, using various tools and equipment.
• Operate construction equipment, including but not limited to rollers and dumpers
• Test / inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications.

Requirements:

Experience: Proven experience as a Pipelayer in the construction industry.

Skills: Proficient in reading and understanding construction plans. Ability to work with various pipe materials and join them accurately.

Certification: NRSWA, EUSR, SHEA Water, CPCS / CSCS, First Aid, CAT and Genny, Plant above and below 10t, Dumper and roller, Slinger / signaller.  Control point experience is desirable.
