The public access road leading to Abercastle beach was facing a significant risk of slipping into the watercourse.

To address this issue and connect the community, we have been appointed to strengthen the access road by installing 60 linear meters of Gabion baskets.

These baskets are essentially steel structures filled with stones, which will serve as a robust retaining wall to support and stabilise the access road.

Our team is making great progress, and we are currently on track to complete the project within two weeks, as scheduled.

Once finished, the strengthened road will be able to withstand the erosive forces and ensure that the public can safely access the amenities at the beach.
