Velta was appointed to deliver improvements to the Taff Trail, a 55 mile route between Cardiff and Brecon. Our scope of works involved the construction of a 350m-long, 3.5m-wide shared-use path to tie in with a new footbridge installed as part of the A465 dualling works.

We carried out extensive earthworks and site preparation, including excavation and grading and installed kerbs and edgings to define the path boundaries.

We also modified existing drainage systems and headwalls to integrate the new path into the surrounding infrastructure. All The project was delivered with zero defects and completed one week ahead of schedule, allowing early public access to the improved trail.
