As part of the A465 Heads of the Valleys dualling scheme, Velta was appointed to carry out structural bearing remedial works to the existing Court Lodge Bridge. Working beneath live jacked beams, we prepared bearing shelves, removed defective grout, chased out voids, and reinstated structural integrity using precision formwork and high-performance grout.

Our team worked closely with the client’s engineers, adapting our approach where voids were larger or more complex than expected. All works were delivered under a rigorous inspection regime with hold points agreed in advance and full QA documentation provided. This technically demanding project was delivered safely, on time, and without incident – demonstrating Velta’s experience with complex structural repairs in live environments.
