Velta delivered full structural refurbishment of Nant Ffrwd Bridge as part of the A465 Heads of the Valleys Dualling, completing the project two weeks ahead of schedule and achieving zero defects at handover.

Our scope included extensive concrete repairs to the abutments, soffits, and deck. Defective concrete was identified and broken out using mechanical tools, while corroded rebar was replaced and treated with carbon-neutral materials to ensure long-term protection.

Our in-house structural repair teams used a combination of MEWPs, scaffolding, and underbridge units to safely complete repairs under live traffic conditions. To ensure the highest quality, all work was recorded in real time using digital QA Software. This allowed us to maintain full visibility, document every step, and produce an auditable H&S file for the project.
