Velta delivered structural concrete repairs to the Nant Hir Viaduct as part of the Welsh Government’s A465 upgrade – completing the work one month ahead of programme and handing over with zero defects.

Working over the Nant Hir reservoir, we carried out essential repairs to the soffit, abutments and bridge deck using carbon-neutral materials and embedded anodes to guard against future corrosion.

All deck repairs including waterproofing were completed under road closures using precision shuttering to ensure clean lines and accurate levelling, while new precast parapets were installed by our in-house fall-arrest-trained teams.

Quality was managed digitally using real-time inspection sign-offs and photographic records, creating a complete, auditable H&S file.
