Velta replaced 5km of 500mm diameter potable water mains. Operating in a densely populated area with complex underground utilities, we delivered a full excavation, installation, and reinstatement programme without disruption to service or safety.

Trenches were supported with in-house designed temporary works systems, and our teams used a combination of vacuum excavation, air lance, and traditional methods to navigate buried assets. Every section of pipework, valve, and fitting was installed to CESWI standards, with strict water hygiene controls in place throughout.

Our approach combined tight coordination, strong supervision, and a detailed quality control regime. This resulted in a high-risk urban scheme delivered safely, efficiently, and with no service strikes.
